ABOUT THE DAY

THE WEDDING
We are hoping for a simple, joyful afternoon, celebrating with all our favourite people, and we are so grateful to have you all coming. Please be at the Church at least 15 minutes before the Ceremony starts, so that everyone can find their seats. Harry and his groomsmen will be there waiting to greet you.

TRANSPORT
I'm afraid we aren't providing transport, so if you are without a car, please let us know- we should be able to find a travel buddy for you as many of our local guests have spare seats, especially for between the ceremony and reception! There are also some local taxi firms we can recommend:
Sussex Cars - 01323 726726
Seahaven Cabs - 01323 892223
We will try to let you know if you're staying near someone else who needs transport, so you can pair up to share travels costs if you like! Also, as it is a rural location, we would recommend booking a taxi home if you fancy a tipple or two at the reception! Any cars can always be picked up the next day.

GETTING IN TOUCH
Please bear in mind that Alfriston and Berwick tend to have next to no mobile phone signal (welcome to the countryside!) so please do check that you're happy with the directions and transport arrangements prior to setting off. Sometimes you can get a couple of bars, and there are some public phones around too, so don't panic!

WHAT TO WEAR
In terms of dress codes, the wedding will be fairly informal. No need for full morning suits or full length dresses unless you feel like wearing them! Please wear what will make you happy and comfortable!

GIFTS
Everyone is going to ask us about gifts, and it is difficult to know what to say! We aren't doing any kind of list or registry, because we are lucky enough to have every single thing we could need in our tiny Manchester flat. We also know that weddings are expensive to attend, what with travel and accommodation, and so, especially our young broke friends, having you spend the day with us is a gift in itself. If you still really feel that you would like to give us something, then we would be very grateful for either donations to our honeymoon fund or John Lewis Vouchers.

ANYTHING ELSE?
We've tried to think of everything you could need to know about how to get there, what to do and where to stay and put it somewhere on this site, but if you have any questions that we haven't answered please just get in touch with either of us as soon as possible. We will likely be a little frazzled the week before the wedding, as we are doing pretty much everything ourselves (and with the help of friends and family) so the sooner you are able to ask, the more likely it is you'll get a useful answer!
